Limited DOFand perhaps limited appeal. Does this appeal to you too? Don't know what it is, be it the colour, limited DOF, composition or whatever but I really like this.

it does have a nice dreamy look to it. i think its a little too limited though. imo it would work better if the foremost petal was in focus. i really like the effect of the background petals.

Mark - I love it, The colours are superb and the slight focus towards the middle just lifts it.

It was blowing a gale and I wanted to get a nice fast shutter speed. Some of the apparant OOF in the shot could in fact be slight movement, even at 1/1000s and, oh yeah, because I can Cheers

Beautiful image Mark, the softness of it just makes it gorgeous. Pretty brave of John to lend you a D3. Did you give it back or did you just trade him for your D300
