Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Wendell, you've captured a Ziggy Stardust feel to the last two images. Very nice.

The third of these is great. I'd perhaps like to see just a little bit cropped from the top though.

Great work Wendell.

GReat work Wendell. Theme captured beautifully. I think you have captured a Blade Runner 11 promotional shots in this series in particular the last image.

Excellent images! Number 3 excels the rest, but number 4 is confronting by its coolness.

Wendel
while I agree with Gary that the third needs cropping... I would like to see it cropped at the bottom between the where here palm goes behind the light and the top of the shadow area above here armpit
while I'm fond of cleavage and breasts, here I fell they distort the photo too much thereby loosing some of that classic look I think you were going for.

by the way I would pay to watch you and learn some of your post processing techniques... they are superb

First two and the last one for me. There is something magic about the last one. I love this series!

understood its actually meant to be a beauty shot jodi gardner one of my makeup artists wanted it tighter but i wanted to show the nails and body makeup, but it would of been better tighter for sure

the look isn't so much classic its meant to be futurist edgy

and there isnt much post in these apart from smoothing the skin a little and intensifying the colours, curves adjustment

the colours come from about 3 flashes all geled and two fluro light tubes

in terms of post processing i only use curves, layers, eraser, dodge and burn and the (clone tool for smoothing), these are the only tools you need anythign else if just bells and whistles, knowing how to apply them artistically and knowign when to stop is a different story

thanks everyone
