Never done this before. Action stuff is not normally my thing but i had HEAPS of fun doing these despite the weather. i sure picked the day for it. rain and gale force winds down at the 'Nulla.

pretty happy with the way they turned out given the conditions. some are cropped heavily, some are as shot. all needed a levels/ curves adjustment cos they were too flat.

will definately do this again. C&C welcome. i;d really like to improve in my action shots.

I have shot a lot of images of kite surfers and know how difficult it is to get a really good shot. Things are happening so fast and you have to try and anticipate the action. These are good for a start, but I have found that it is much better if you can shoot from the same level as the surfers. Generally that means exposing your equipment a little.

good tip. they are hard buggers to get in the frame and in focus cos they're so erratic. the wind was just about gale force too so they were really moving.
