FWIW, "Bob Downe" is the name for this character. The actor is Mark Trevorrow. Sort of like the relationship between "Dame Edna Everage" and Barry Humphries. Not that too many people could give a toss, I suspect. TFF (Trevor)

Trevor, there's a big difference though: Humphries, in his various characters, and as I'm sure you appreciate, is very funny. And has been for well over 35 years.

Absolutely. He is unique. I'm not a fan of the Bob Downe character either. TFF (Trevor)

No, seriously..... thats how he always looks. If you’re alone with your friend in the woods and a tiger’s chasing you, you don’t have to be faster than the tiger, you have to be faster than your friend.
I see nothing but success all round.
As a portrait, you've captured the subject in how he wants to be seen. Mark's character performance of Bob Down is Over Exagerated, Over Ego'd not a hair out of place over done variety performer. Its ment to take the P!$$ out of the industry that created the image. I feel you've accomplished this with your protrait of him. To quote from an interview of Mark Trevorrow by Jack Marx - When I reveal to Mark Trevorrow that his alter-ego, Bob Downe, annoys the hell out of me, he emits a theatrical sort of laugh - a descending "ha, ha, ha!" that says both "mission accomplished" and "I know what you mean", with just a touch of "up yours, buddy". So comments here of "being shot with the wrong device" also indicates that as a performing artist Mark has been successful as this character. As a performer he is there to entertain. As an entertainer, there are times that playing bad characters are entertaining, after all Monty Python said they didnt try to get a laugh, they tried to shock & people laughed. Also from this interview (just to prove theres more to Mark)- In person, Trevorrow has none of Downe's flap and dither. He's sharp with a low-watt eloquence and a brisk, no-nonsense air, as if Bob's blown the budget on the end-of-year party and left his teacher to clean up before school starts again. So Well done Methd and well done Mark Nunquam requîrere a aptus occãsiõ ad claudere sûrsum
