It looks to me a shy, poor and destitute refugee more than a ghost! For me ghost have an etheral nature like you can see through them or smokey - you can say I am not fond of violent horror.

Powerfull and emotive....i love it personally

As for what you are trying to achieve why not let (i assume you have done this) the viewer decide how it effects and or what it mean to them

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I guess I agree with Dan, it's up to you how you want to interpret something one tries to express. If it causes no emotions, then obviously the work is weak. If it causes mixed emotions and interpretation varies, all the better :-)
