as this lady went by on the previous run i said "one more " so this was supposed to be the last pic .... i am glad i got it for memories sake cause i dont recall taking it !! because i was using the 12-24 nikon and it looked like she was "miles" away !! i wont be using this lens again for this type of shot as this is the second time i have been "hit" by these guys/gals, it's ironic because the first time i was "hit" this lady was the one to wipe the blood from my face and this time she put it on !

Rob,

These UWA lenses are really very dangerous :) and you do need to be well aware of where of your surroundings in order to use them safely and to their best effect.

In Melbourne earlier in the year I was standing in the median just outside St Paul's Church shooting trams going by using the Siggy 10-20 on the D200, and the view through the VF was .... hmmm ... startling. :)

Less dangerous was my early morning walk in HK ...

Hope you're ok. :)

but Rob - it is a brilliant shot - talk about taking the viewer 'into' the picture :)
Nothing like bleeding for your art ;)

jeez big v didnt realise you looked at me like a princess !!! makes me feel all ...YUK !

i am trying to organise a jetski to go alongside/infront while they are speeding along, law of average says i will fall off into the path of a kiteboarder !! or another idea is taping/fixing somehow the ewa marine bag to the board with the 12/24 on it would be a good perspective especially if it takes a shot while they are doing a jump .... mmm can the d2x be programmed to take a pic every 30/40 seconds ?

thanks for all your comments

cheers rob

Yes, the intervalotimer can do this... it's in the shooting menu option.. or get the cable release for the D2X, it can be programmed from the cable release...

The wireless remotes from Poon are usable over the length of a block in Neutral Bay. 100 feet is what I think is specified, and that certainly seems reasonable.

Don't know if that means metric feet though. :)
