these 2 pix's were shot early evening, I must say the metering on the D300 is fantastic, there is some head movement in the first shot and about 50% crop, ISO 320 100th @ 6.3 which is wide open and hand held.......



these birds are only in the garden for a few minutes then off, so it is hard to get a clear shot of one due to what they feed on, ISO 320 60th @ 6.3 hand held

i like the 2nd of these......i read some reviews on the bigma recently, of about a 100 there were only a couple of people that wasn't happy with it's performance

EDIT: I will be having another go late today if the birds turn up, but at 800 ISO

for the money the Bigma is a lot of glass, with the new cameras having better quality high ISO images, this has to be a bargain lens....... just up the ISO for more speed or DOF
