Oooh, very nice and creative.

# 2 for me. Not sure why but I think the square crop just works better. May be because the entire shot is more symmetrical with the reflection and actual shoe split by a centre line.

Hi Yi-P,

I like number 2 for sure... The only thing that bugs me is the fact you can see a small section of the inside of the shoe (on the far side), I find it a little distracting :?

Other than that though it is a VERY good shot (love the reflection) :P

Thanks guys,

Woody, I think this is how the shoe is shaped one side higher than other to match the foot's shape? I got pretty low and the lens is hitting the table already...

Nice shoes Yi-P !!! Didn't know you were a red kinda guy

If you shot from a position slightly further to the back of the shoes it may have blocked out the offending glimpse of the shoes internals.

Cheers, Mick :) :) :)

My thoughts exactly.

Yip.

Well done; not an easy subject to tackle. I'm wondering ow you managed to find an emty specimen?

I'm also wondering where its partner is? Did the sock fairy abduct it? :)

Square crop for me.

Smudge ... back in town?

Mick,
I'm not a 'red' type of guy, but I like bright colour subjects :P

Gary,
I found this empty specimen while its owner is out on another shopping spree... (where sporty shoes are required)

I like the square crop here!

Absolutely stunning image, well captured, I'd love to see something with the pair of shoes in it! I think you'd do a splendid job of that too!

Just what other sorts of shoes do you have in your cupboards? I am a little concerned about your safety running around on heels that high :P

I would say that the safety of my wallet is more concerned about when these heels are kept in the cupboard... :?

Before I go off topic - fantastic shots, great lighting and composition with that reflection - very inspiring.

They just don't get the importance of a nice pair of shoes do they... *shakes head*..

Before I get defensive on that remark  I wanted to test my understanding.....I saw in a movie that the sex is in the heel? Something about the extension of the foot causing the leg muscles to firm up, raise and slim the butt and thereby making the female more attractive and ready for mating?...
oh never mind, we men are so simple...if only women knew that it makes no difference

Square crop for me too, terrific.

What was it sitting on for the reflection?
