Went out today and found a couple of birds!!
Still working out the camera settings so not totally happy with the outcomes - both have had a quick PP.

So I got two in the bush but darned if I could get one in the hand!


Does one in the bush count?

Linda your host must strip the EXIF from your images so I cannot tell what gear you have used for these shots but they lack a little zip or punch. Perhaps you can tell us what equipment was used?

Linda, try adding a little bit of contrast to these images and they will suddenly come alive. (Metaphorically speaking.) They do seem a little flat.

Galahs can be notoriously difficult to shoot as they are bright whereas they seem to like dark surrounds.

Have changed the settings on flickr so hopefully that will help with the EXIF data from now on (crossing fingers).

Pics were shot with Nikon D80 using 70-330 lens, details off pics are:
1st pic: Exposure programme - shutter priority at 1/640, f-stop f4.2, ISO speed 160
2nd pic: Exposure programme - aperture priority, f-stop f6.3, ISO speed 100.

Am new at this Oneputt so not sure if this is all the info you want or the correct way of writing it
