Got up early this moring and snapped this image of the first sun rise of 2008.Straight out of the camera with a bit of quick develop in lightroom. No croping as I think this composition works. What do you think?
Please C&C and PPOK
Thanks for looking

i like it, but i suggest removing the lens flare in the middle of the tree, i find it a bit distracting

Thanks for the suggestion. However I am not too sure how to remove the lens flare? Any ideas?

what i do when there is flare, with the raw file open put it in curve and pull the line down at the top about 2mm or so.....i tried it with the file that you posted but wasn't able to get rid of the flare.
it may work with the raw file.

Hi Makario,
A very nice sunrise, as pointed out perhaps you can try to remove the flare. I would also try and pull some more detail out of the shadow area in the foreground. A fine image otherwise.

thanks for your critique. I will try to reduce the flare on the raw image this evening. Back at work this morning and dont have access to the raw file.
I should have taken this week off as well!!
