Adelaide NYE Fireworks

I was in at Adelaide's New Year's Eve party in Elder Park for the fireworks. Here are some shots, more in the gallery.

You have got some great shots there Daniel. I am really impressed with the colours you have captured.

Did you hold something black over the lens for periods of the total exposure? (I was looking at the photo info in your gallery) If so, roughly how long did you expose the lens to the fireworks for?

The colours were nice, but winding up the saturation helps... :wink:

No I don't use the card method. I just set the camera to manual (bulb) and vary the f-stop depending on the brightness of the fireworks (f/8 to f/5.6). I open the shutter when I hear the firework launch and close it when I think I have enough. The time can vary between a few seconds to tens of seconds. I take lots of shots. :D

I was lucky with the conditions. Although it was 32 degrees at midnight and not much of a breeze, it made for nice shots.
