Hi,

Took a few pics of my doggie Ted the other day with my 50mm lens. Hope you like it. He sat still for a few minutes which was good.

The second one is far better than the first, but you clipped his right ear a bit which detracts from it slightly. A feisty, difficult to photograph dog perhaps.

He looks angry with you.

I agree with what Killa said - great 2nd image..the first one looks like it could have used some fill flash. Nice stuff though

I love Ted's expression though. That floppy ear gives him a lot of character.

Thanks for the tips, the cropping is easily fixed as I cropped it after the fact during the Post processing,

I had his bone in my left hand while I was clicking away, that could be the reason for his expression.

with regards to the first photo, yes fill flash as well as a shallower DOF would have been good.

The second one is much better Makario,and I'm sure if you had a nice steak in your hand ,instead of a bone ,his expression would have been even better,and therefore a better photo!!!!! :
