out looking for a rare frog - and we found it, but it was raining way to hard (read torrential) to take the camera out - but this is a shot of an immature mantid that we took earlier in between downpours

Don't know wether it is my monitor or my eyes but the DOF looks to shallow to me.
the focus looks like it stops just before the eyes
as I said it could be my eyes or my monitor

awesome shot ... i would say the eye are in perfect focus but they look a touch soft ... just a feature of their eyes i think.
