The Moorilla International is a Tier IV Womens Tennis tournament held in Hobart each year. In tonights semi final, Vera Zvonareva (Russia) beat Ashley Harkleroad (USA). Zvonareva (white dress with blue) is the 2nd seed for the tournament while Harkleroad (green and white dress) is a qualifier.

Oh that first shot is a cracker.... very well captured... you must have to have lightening fast reflexes to shoot this kind of stuff! :)

Thanks Sue. I don't know about the reflexes, but 9fps helps. Sure wastes a lot of film though.

At 9fps I'd be reloading every 4 secs. I was joking.
I use a D3. One of the issues I found with the D3 was that the shutter is so loud, when they are serving and the whole stadium is silent, the shutter creates quite a racket. I didn't get a warning from the umpire, but got a few dirty looks from a couple players. As professional sports people they need to learn to deal with more than a loud shutter. At the night sessions, some people in the crowd were using flash on their P+S cameras. Now that would be distracting.
