Horizon Line

I was trolling through my external hard dirve trying to free up some space and came across a folder of old images of Wellington Point. I had a play with this one and would appreciate your thoughts. I cloned out the rocks and lights, duplicated the background, changed blend mode to multiply, boosted the saturation and adjusted the levels and curves. PS - It was intended to be a bit over-the-top/abstract/arty) Original is included for comparison.

Nice Simon but I would tend to pull the saturation back a tad :)

Thanks Chris - I realise it's pretty explosive but I was actually after that look.

I don't mind the oversaturation in No.1. Great image.

I like it.

Abstract is good and I like the oversaturation.

It's certainly a sharp contrast from the original.

Love the straight lines; nice shot. The abstract is great, and the original is just as good.

Thanks Alex, Steve and Mark. I enjoyed turning this into something completely different. It was a fun exercise in what Photoshop can do to what was a pretty bland image to start with.

Thanks Travy. I admit they are pushed quite a bit but my reason for this was to provide a complimentary colour for the blue of the sky. I tried a few different hues but this harsh orange/red was the closest to what I was trying to acheive. Sure, it's not going to be to everyone's taste but I'm pleased people are adding their opinions - whether they like it or not. :D

I like it. Gives the feeling of a really hot glarey day. Would look very good mounted and framed.

Well done, always nice when you find an old image worth editing.

I love the saturation... but I hate the fact that you can get such a fantastic image there at the point and I can't! *cries*
