Identification ....

So, a quick lesson on tadpole identification - the important bits include the shape of the fin on the tail, the configuration of the mouthparts and the shape of tadpole :)

I currently have a small rockpool with about 30 large tadpoles happily swimming around in it. Some now have their back legs so I guess it won't be long before they crawl out and leave. It's fascinating watching them zip about, grow, eat and hopfully eventually become croaky lil brown frogs. I will post some pics shortly.

200 f4 micro? UW Housing?

Matt - looking forward to some photos !!!! They are amazing aren't they :)

Viz - thanks :) These were taken through the side of a small glass aquarium using the 105 2.8 micro, SB800, PJ lightsphere and diffusion dome :) Definitely NOT a high end setup ;) LOL
