Went to the beach after work yesterday and saw this young lady looking out to see. I wondered what she was thinking?
Not sure which version I prefer the 'cool' desaturated or the B&W.

......... B&W for me....... but have you tried more contrast, and darken down the water to give more of a storm feel to the shot, just a thought

At the moment I prefer the cross-processed looking shot, mainly because there is more contrast in the waves. Definitely a shot that will work very well with B&W, but the treatment just isn't as strong for me compared to the first.
Is she sad or just contemplating?

I will give it another go as suggested.

Hiya Geoff.
B&W for me. I find after switching between the two a couple of times, the blue cast/desat treatment makes her look too unnatural.

Both are good for me.
I agree with Big Pix about the stormy look.
Good subject.

of the 2 b/w but I'd be inclined to darken it a bit and square crop it

Does the mono have a touch of blue about it or is it just the surround of the post?
I'd also get a bit more aggressive on the conversion, and I'd probably lop a bit of the top of the image off as well. (Maybe just crop it al a bit tighter. Dunno.)
