Moonlight on a Crashed AeroplaneAs usual I was on my way home from work.... nah not true. I got inspired by my fridge shots of a car so I thought I would give it a real go to create a full on set in the fridge. Subject was a crashed Aeroplane (which I thought worked well given the icy landscape) I had visions of the rather famous crash in the Andes. I was also painting with light to give it a more realistic "moonlight" feel. Click on the image for a larger on black photograph, C&C most welcome.
Re: Moonlight on a Crashed Aeroplanei love it, great idea, but whats the thing in the background left?
Re: Moonlight on a Crashed AeroplaneIts a Stone. Needed to get some form of mountain happening
Re: Moonlight on a Crashed AeroplanePlane doesn't look damaged enough. I could lend you a hammer. . And if the moonlight was strong enough to light the plane that well the stars would also be out so the effect would be better with a starry "sky"
Re: Moonlight on a Crashed AeroplaneThe aeroplane cost me $45 so I don't plan to hit it with a hammer. However, here are a few more shots
Click images for larger on black photographs. Rest can be seen here I am pretty sure I will add to the miniatures. I am enjoying myself with them.
Re: Moonlight on a Crashed AeroplaneI like the idea. The images are nice and sharp, and the shallow DOF gives an impression of size.
I think you need some small figurines dressed in soccer outfits eating each other though 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc

Re: Moonlight on a Crashed AeroplaneLast one
Re: Moonlight on a Crashed AeroplaneThe last one is my favourite - seems the most 'realistic' (without damaging the plane )
