Looks great to me.

Makes me (a) happy I am buying a D80 and (b) want to buy a macro lens.

The only thing I dont like is the leaf in the top right. Great photo though.

The only rip that I could see is that the wasp looks dead.
Apart from that it is a great looking shot. Welcome to the forum.

Awesome shot. Good DOF and colours.
Was this taken on a Tamron 90mm?

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your stay.

Very nice Cobby, sharp and great colours. May be my monitor but I think the front of the wasp is a touch too dark. Other than that nothing to pick on!!!

Hi, and welcome to the forums.

As others have said, you have done well with this image: great colours, depth of field ....

However, could you please take a few moments to review our FAQ. This image has a width of 1024px, and a file size of about a half a megabyte. That is way too big for posting here: the maximum size of any dimension should not exceed 800 px, and you should, for a number of reasons, significantly reduce your filesize: for one thing, not everyone here has the luxury of broadband, and a file of this size will not be a pretty site for them. For another, there are people who may wih to steal your IP. Putting up an image of this size leaves you open to such theft. It's very easy to reduce the size of the image's file, without decreasing the apparent veiwing quality as seen on the web.

Cheers, and again, welcome.

Actually, I don't think the size limitations are in the FAQ. I can't find them anyway. (Boy's look though. :) ) As far as I can tell the size limitations are in Stubbsy's posting guidelines as a recommendation.

I did view the image on dial up and it did take about a minute to download.

Took me a little while to work out that IP stood for "intellectual property" and not "internet address". I'm sitting here, scratching my head, wondering how a large image can make your internet address vulnerable. My "duh" moment for the day. Well there's still a lot of time left for more "duh" moments, but that was a good start.

welcome to the forum. great first image and good to see another macro shooter here !

having been a previous very happy owner of the tammie, i have some great experences with it. my 2 suggestions would be to not stop down so much. its nice to have the dof if thas what you want, but the tammie loses sharpness sigificantly from diffraction after around f11. i would never stop down smaller than f16. at f25 you're actually down to less than half of its resolution capabilities. i'd also bump up your iso. in that shot, around 800 would have worked to bring out the shadows in the foreground a little more.

look forward to some more of your work. :D
