Eastern Sedge Frogs

Shot some of these little frogs (between 10 and 18 mm long) on the weekend and am now paying the price in horrendous insect bites).

1st one is lovely - these guys always seem to be so content!

2nd one is let down by the harsh light, but you already knew that ;)

I definitely prefer the first shot. I wonder if it using a bit of flash fill might have softened the transition from a light head to a dark butt.
