Gympie Skidpan Day

I was allowed to stand in the middle of the skidpan to get these :D :D

Fantastic panning! Just the right amount of blur here.. love the way you can see the water spraying up behind the car... :)

Nice shots Joe. The panning, as Sue said, is spot on. Looks like a good training facility up there in Gympie. :D

While i was there i handed my camera to a friend(shorty on here actually) to take a shot of my car as i was going around :twisted:

I agree with Craig & Sue. I know what is like to get these sort of shots (Eastern Creek skid pan). The car are not moving that fast and they are ususally move in a tight area. Well done. :up:

we had quite a bit of trouble getting an MY04 WRX to slip around a water donut/ring task (cant forget its name) at oran park last year..

Looks like the Commie could use some spring and shock work mate, she's listing in that shot.

I love them though.

Nice shots. Can I ask what the specs were for each of them? Shutter speed? Aperture?

I was hovering around 1/80th up to 1/125th for most of the day.

forrie pic 1/100th f11

burnout 1/100th f11

first slide pic 7650 1/80th f14

close up pic 1/100th f11


All shot using a d350d(canon) 70-200 is 2.8 and my roughhead looking through the viewfinder :up:
