The Sun. The Kite and The Surfer.Part of a collection of surf and sunset shots I took the other day. I don't know why, but shooting the sun when it is behind clouds and poking out is a nightmare for digital cameras. The clouds go both Black and Bright white and the same time. End result is some funny colours and blow outs. So this shot is in B&W to alleviate some the colour and tone issues that the colour file has. Click the image for the larger on black photograph. C&C most welcome.
Re: The Sun. The Kite and The Surfer.Pretty damn perfect, me reckons. Great in b&w, and everything is in the right place; especially the man, kite and sun. Good stuff.

Re: The Sun. The Kite and The Surfer.Hi Nigel,
I did have a look at the higher res version, however it doesn't quite work for me. Too dark, and there seems to be a bit of dodging in the left hand foreground that has spilled over. I think if the shot was exposed correctly, and in colour, it would be a stand out shot. cheers http://www.markcrossphotography.com - A camera, glass, and some light.
Re: The Sun. The Kite and The Surfer.I believe the two versions are very well accomplished, perhaps the B&W is more dramatic, but the colour one has those beautiful colours that are real candy to the eye.
