The frogs are out since the rain and I found a great excuse to try out the studio lighting kit which I acquired after the last challenge.

C&C please

Steve,

Great work. Beautiful, soft lighting. Not bad for a first attempt with the new kit, and an especially unusual subject for that style of kit. Well done.

Quick run down on what was used and the specs of the shot mate? They are some wonderful pics.

How do you make it happen? Sounds silly i know but like how do you know where the frogs will be and when etc?

The shots were all taken with a D300, Tamron 90 and a 32mm extention tube - luv them all.

I put Gracy on a leaf in a light tent and used 2 studio stobes with soft boxes to provide the lighting.
My youngest daugther is frog mad and generally finds them for me but you can hear them from 100m away - once the sun goes down just listen. On second thoughts at Bondi who knows what you would hear

Steve,

All three shots are excellent and the soft boxes and light tent has worked brilliantly. You must be chuffed.

All three are great, but it is the first and last that make me do the double take.

Cheers :)

Great shots Steve. Love all three of them.
Is the lighting kit the one that can be purchased from Poon. I have been thinking of getting one and would like to hear your impressions of it, the results certainly look great.
Thanks
