I haven't posted in a while... I was scouting out places where I could take romantic sort of portraits and/or dreamy shots and stumbled upon this (Could you tell that it's right next to a MAIN road?

Wanted to get your opinions on the mood (trying to set idyllic, fairytale) as well as technical glitches.

Its perfect for the kind of portraits that you want it for... I can already picture a couple hand in hand strolling down that path..

I also really like this image... it looks like it belongs in a tourist brochure.. :)

It's centennial park in Kensington (On the left of the image is Alison road leading to Randwick)

I think the saturation layer can help with that!

Thanks for all your comments guys... I have been trying to emulate the style of Mr Rarindra Prakash with the light beams and mist and all.... You should check him out on the web.. Has some great PP done on already great shots.

I think you've done a good job, there is definitely a similar flavour to the shot :) Well done.

No worries,

I will post the original image when I get home so you can compare.

Essentially I picked the subject/lighting so that I can add the sunlight later...

Hue to increase yellow
Gradient solid layer to emulate the glare from the right
Light rays (drawn with brush) and layer to overlay (subtle because I reduced opacity of the layer)
Curves
Selective sharpen biker and foreground, blur background
Crop

I posted this on dpreview retouch forum (full of experts!!) and one of them did a great job on it.. here is the link
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read. ... e=26846660 BTW this style is copied from Rarindra Prakesh on photo.net.
