So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. HandsOk so this one needs a little explanation. Mum has a stuffed liver, and while she is now fine and is perhaps in the best shape of her life, the liver damage has left her with very thin skin. Under UV lighting that skin goes translucent. As a result all the veins and blood vessels under the skin are quite visible. This is the shot I took for an comp assignment on "Hands". Other than levels and a crop its all in camera. C&C most welcome, click the image for the larger on black photograph.
Re: HandsNigel,
I think this might have been better executed had the hands actually been busy doing something. To me, they're left suspended, and there should be more. Maybe holding something, or resting on a table? Dunno ... but I'm left wanting something else here. g.
