Baby portraitI know some/most here don't like baby photos which is perfectly fine, and I appreciate that this photo perhaps shouldn't be out there in the public domain , but I thought the image was quite funny - in my head it is one of: Alex: "They don't know what I am scheming", mum & nan: "Isn't he cute and quiet?".
Well, to me anyway... 20 mm at f3.2, 1/50th, available light, unavailable colour. Regards, Patrick
Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935. Our mug is smug
Re: Baby portraitvery well captured Patrick. With the inclusion of mum and nan in the background, it adds more to the story making you wonder what he's really plotting

Re: Baby portraitLovely image! Don't be afraid to post baby pics of that quality....they are a joy and also instructive.

Re: Baby portraitNicely done. I like your conversion and the composition.
Alex
Re: Baby portraitLove it Patrick, your description reminds me of Stewie from Family Guy, but far cute of course. I love the interplay between the elements (Mum, Grandma and Alex)
Re: Baby portraitPatrick, love it, the composition with more of the family makes it a more treasured memory.

Re: Baby portraitThanks for the feedback guys. Gotta love natural light (and therefore a north facing house!)
That's funny - when Alex was "ante-natal", we called him Stewie from Family Guy (thought it was better than Brian, as Alex doesn't drink yet!) Regards, Patrick

Re: Baby portraitI think its adorable... very reminicent of some of the older style journalistic shots that I have seen... I love it!
The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...
Re: Baby portraitGreat shot, I like the DoF. I remember the baby from Comedy Company which always made me laugh and I wondered if this bub was thinking the way it did. LOL
