Was previously known as the red-eyed tree frog, Litoria chloris :) - taken in the backyard last night :)

If you want to see any more of the frog shots so far, I have many uploaded to http://www.pbase.com/narellepower/australian_frogs

It jumped out from my monitor!! Now I got to find this little thing and put it back into the image...

Seriously, it "jumps" out of the monitor with the striking colours and depth.

Thanks everyone :) = this was the first one we found when we went out the back last night - got off one shot before he jumped and we couldn't find him again - but then went down to the pool area and they were everywhere !!! They are common up here (at the moment I'm at Mt Julian just outside of Proserpine - rainforest mountain :) ), so I'm pretty lucky. But they must be as sick of the rain as we are - not one single frog calling tonight - just wind and rain :( They might be hanging around, but I'm not sure I'm up to it tonight- it is pissing down and man it is cold in that wind !!!!

That and the fact that a hell of a lot of trees have been coming down around us and over the driveway - last night we got half way down the very very steep driveway, but had to stop to remove 2 fallen trees with a hand pruning saw !!!!! - we got to the bottom of the driveway, looked at eachother (we were both soaked to the skin), picked up the dog that had followed us down (and helped to remove the trees), turned around and drove back up the very very very steep driveway (in 4wd). LOL

Has been an experience this trip :)
