I have my nieces over today, and they are both fast asleep at the moment. So I thought I'd have a quick wander around my garden. C&C very welcome, and hope you enjoy.

I can't even choose a favourite.. I looked at the first and went "awwww"...

then I scrolled to the second and went "ohhhhh"..

the third had be doing both the "awww" and the "ohhhh"...

and the fourth... well its kinda left me speechless...

amazing detail... magic work.. soooooo jealous and wishing that I could produce images like these myself...

Thank you so much for the feedback guys/gal... really appreciate it. Absolutely loving taking photos again, and the break has really been worthwhile for me.... have found that 'passion' again.

Marvin... Tamron 90mm. All shots hand held, manual exposure, manual focus, f16 and 1/200th. For me f16|1/200th is 'my' sweet spot with this lens.

Great shots, Mark!

For the first one, you might consider cropping at the top and left to eliminate the slight distracting change in colour in the background.

I have no suggestions for the other 3 as they a great as they are.

i'll be breaking out the f16 1/200th setting soon to try out your "sweet spot"

chewlinyip.... the hover was the hardest to capture. I lied down next to our veggie patch and watched it going to and fro for quite a while. it seemed to have a particular pattern it was flying, so by chance I managed to capture it along it's path.

Hi Craig. Not using anything flash anymore, no real need These were all taken with the D80, Tamron 90mm, and an sb600 (with diy fishing tackle box diffuser)
