Crab Spider - Getting back into macro :)Hi all,
It's been over a year and a bit since I have taken a macro shot, so as soon as my lens was delivered this afternoon I couldn't wait to give it a go. I'm quit a bit dusty with my technique and lighting, but hopefully it should come back 'like riding a bike'. Couple of things I don't like about this initial shot. 1. Shadows from the flash are far far too harsh. Time to make a diffuser. 2. I blew the focus on the front left hand leg. Here's a crab spider for your C&C. Approximately 2mm head width. It's great to be out taking photos again!!! http://www.markcrossphotography.com - A camera, glass, and some light.

Re: Crab Spider - Getting back into macro :)This is a very nicely balanced image. I cannot source the lens as there is no exif data. Can you post what your new lens was? Not the 105 by chance?
In the end we know Nothing, but in the meantime Learn like crazy.
