A couple of birds

Out and about today - here's a sample of some of the lorikeets out in the garden. Only the first has had a little PP done in the way of cropping and cloning out of a branch

I think both photos are out of focus. Maybe your exposure time was too long or your hands were shaking.

Linda,

They look soft to me, too. I'm not sure if it is the lens or the 1/100s and 1/160s with a 300mm lens.

...... nice pixs...... but both look to lacking depth of field, which gives the appearance of being soft....... if you look the feathers are sharp but the head lacks DOF....... if your focus point was the head your shots would have a different look or appearance........ back to the garden for the reshoot......

Thanks for the clarification - I really did think I was needing glasses - being soft I can see :D

All I can say is thank goodness for digital - allows for copious quantities of that thing called practice and a revisit to the garden these were shot in :D
