I went for a wander down to Pincushion around 2pm when the light was pretty harsh and the wind quite robust.
Used the 14-24 zoom and had to get in dangerously close to the surfers to get them and the kite in the same shot at any size

I can't believe you took this with that zoom... I wouldnt be game enough to try that! Good shots Bob.. specially in just awful light..

I think the harsh light adds to the first one. good shots.
