Kite Surfing Up Close

Driving back from Brisbane this afternoon and decided to go via Caloundra.
One loan Kite Surfer at Happy Valley so I set up and cranked a few frames off.

Yeah nice shot. What lens were you using for this? Also how close and how much cropping was done?

The bokeh in the water looks like grain - what ISO was it at? btw beautiful image for such long range!

ISO was 2800 and no noise reduction applied.
Aperture f11
Shutter Speed 1/2000s

Thanks for the comments - the 300 VR is crackingly sharp - the light was less than desirable in this instance

Nice capture esp in low light ... could see this one the cover of a Surf type of magazine...
