Re: Eastern Creek V8'sThanks guys.
Sorry I didn't get a chance to catch up Barry, between shooting the V8's and writing an article, I didn't get much of a chance to do much else. Other than hassle pit chicks that is. Pehpsi, I was realy focussing on my panning shot, I didn't try any slower than 1/60. FOund it much easier panning at these slower speeds with the 300 2.8 handheld. Makes me look like a big man also. Mickey, I didn't even think of the sponsor issue. It is funny, I'm sure bigpond love it! Michael, you could have been there. bitch. Another 1/60th, Camern McConville this time Fabian Coulthard happy to at least look at the camera. Garry Rogers wondering where Lee Holdsworth is. 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc

Re: Eastern Creek V8'sLove em Alan, think there may be a touch too much contrast in the second one for a portrait though... Might be my monitor.
The 1/60ths are coming out fantastic though, well done! Oops can't count, edited... Last edited by bwhinnen on Mon Mar 10, 2008 8:51 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: Eastern Creek V8'sgreat pics and love how the colours really stand out
Re: Eastern Creek V8's300 2.8? its the 120-300 2.8
i have to admit i get better results handholding the 300 at 1/60 as well, its very odd, as i cant seem to get consistant results with the 70-200 at 1/60 handheld and the 300 is like 2kg heavier but does seem to balance alot more
Re: Eastern Creek V8'sOn the 70-200 I use the zoom as I pan, but wish the zoom was at the front of the lens! It's too uncomfortable for me at the back..
