Canberra Day Firework

It's Canberra day here
(looooong weekend 10/03/2008). I heard there was gonna be a big firework showcase in Commonwealth park tonight. So I dropped my research work, took my gears across the lake and camped for nearly one and a half hour 
.
The firework was late. It was supposed to be on at 9:00PM sharp yet it didn't come up until 9:30PM.
The firework was short. It was on for only 5 minutes! That's it! I shot of totally 20 photos, three quarters of them didn't have much fire in it. That left me off with about 5 photos. Here are the best 2

My gear: Nikon D40 with remote ML-L3, 18-200 AF-S VR off, Bulb setting, RAW file, etc.
The good news is that they will have Skyfire firework show this Saturday 15/03/2008. I really hope to have much better shots than these. Until then, enjoy!
