The shot was taken with the 105 macro Nikon, SB800, PJ lightsphere and dome. The shot has been cropped - but shows up the beautiful metallic colours on these 2 species of doli's, and the differences in the head structure, arista (the long thin bit of the antennae) - they are just pretty

I'm just so amazed at the unreal detail and clarity of the image. It's fantastic and they are a beautiful colour.

Quang, I usually use autofocus - I've gotten used to my camera and focus, so I pretty much know when it has hit 'that' spot in focus when I hit the shutter .. used to use manual, but to be honest, I get better results with auto LOL I s'pose that makes me a cheat ?????
Oneputt - it's just practise, lots and lots of practise And you can't use the eyesight excuse either young man , my camera is doing that for me
