Still more cake

This is a bit different, I like others are finding the new high ISO capabilities astounding.

Lights off, lit by candles... f4 - and it's crystal. In this light I've managed to get DOF almost all the way to the end of the table.

Model: NIKON D3
ISO: 3200
Exposure: 1/25 sec
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 28mm
Flash Used: No

I've rotated the image so that the cake is horizontal, rather than the table. It either imparts movement or sea-sickness... you be the judge!

I think it is a very interesting image and I appreciate the information provided. I guess what I like most of this image is the natural look of it and being able to see (thanks to the depth of field) the expressions in the various faces. I think the lights in the cake are a bit blown out, but that might have been your intention to indicate how old the person celebrating the birthday is and hence the expressions in the faces of the gentleman with the beard and the young lady, who seem to be saying "Ooooh my gawd, it is bright!". Anyway, it tells a good story and it is a candid and fun photo that should be kept for posterity. Well done, Justin!
