D300 clicked over 10000 today

These are excellent. yesterday I went to photograph cars at Murwillumbah and while I was waiting I saw a soccer game in progress. I didn't go and take photos. but now I wish I had.

Can you give me a few tips? Where is the best place to locate, side or end of the field? And obviously, one focuses on the ball, I guess.

Hi, i usually either park myself on the sideline parallel with the goalbox or sometimes next to the goal for the real little ones. And alwyas focus on the eyes, just like any other sort of portraits, I like to think of sports shots as "sportraits"

Thanks, its actually the Sigma 50-150 with a matching 1.4TC

I do have it's big brother the 120-300, but felt like travelling light.

I should have added its VERY important to look at your backgrounds, these shots there is no distraction, there are plenty of other places where there are tuckshops, people, etc etc in your shot and its the best to move away from these, especially if you dont have fast lenses that I do that can put most backgrounds out of focus if I have to.
