I had the pleasure of shooting Candy at an outdoor location shoot this afternoon.
Candy will be the model for out portraiture workshop on Saturday. These shots here were all taken with the 50mm and 80mm 1.4 lenses and the D200..with SB800 for some fill flash. She was easy to direct and we had lots of fun. Minimal PP applied. Comments and constructive criticism welcomed:

Geoff

The middle two stand out for me - nice shallow DOF but her face is nice and sharp

#1 doesn't grab me (the facial expression I think) and #4 I'm distracted by the bright background)

Thanks for the constructive criticism guys, I didn't think that the bright background in no.4 distracted too much at first, but now I can see.
There's a couple more images now in the gallery;

Geoff, I agree with Peter and will add that No 2 is the pick as Candy seems to be really engaging with you and, therefore, with the viewer.

Incidentally, has your SB800/D200 misfiring been fixed? (I forget what you said in your Paraday post :D )

Thanks Patrick,
Yep..the SB800 misfiring issue has been fixed! I know you know, but this was a D200 issue, not the SB800.
