My first Panorama

On the day out with Oneputt yesterday the first opportunity to try out my Really Right Stuff Pano Gear presented.
This is about 8 pics stitched in CS3.

Hey Bob,
A good first attempt, did you have fun? That's the main thing.
From looking at this, I don't think the time you took this image was complimentary for the shot. Curiously, what time was it? It'd be nice to see more contrast between the mountains/sky and perhaps a few more colours in here. Perhaps some more PP could make it 'pop' a bit more. Also, how much PP sharpening did you do? I ask this because when you look at the text, it has a halo affect to it, indicating possible over sharpening.
I don't think I could do a first pano as well as you have done, but that said I think there's room for improvement!

it was hazy like that down south of the gold coast as well.

I'm sure there is a difference in print with the other single image you posted of this, but i think the other image has better colouring- it seems the mountains are too blue in comparison..

Still a good shot- I couldnt afford any RRS so just ordered a Panosaurus- waiting for it to arrive. Once again I couldnt afford to live up to my buy once for life policy- but for now plastic is my only affordable option.
