Dusky Leaf Monkey

A couple of months ago I took this shot of a Dusky Leaf Monkey, staring straight into the camera at the Adelaide Zoo, Australia. The monkey was slightly backlit which helped highlight the white wiffs of hair on his head. I exposed for the white hair and used fill flash for the face.

Taken with a Canon 1d mark II, 300 2.8IS, 2x, manual @f/6.3, 1/125sec, iso 400, fill flash

Thanks for looking!

Really stunning images, some of the best I've seen of the lion especially. I am deeply jealous. I will take my camera to Adelaide Zoo next time.
Just may have to buy a 300 lens though!!

Tim - beautiful shot, perfectly exposed. The strong eye contact in this shot really adds oomph, and the backlighting was used to perfection :)
Had a quick look through your wildlife gallery - the kangaroo shot put a smile on my face before I'd even realised - right place at the right time. I'm looking forward to having a closer look through your gallery :)
