A few weeks ago we had a "Film day out" organised by a few forum members. Firstly thanks to Patrick for coming up with the idea and then Gary taking it a little further...also thank you Gary for sharing your knowledge to a film newbie such as myself. It was great to meet a few of the members such as Jeff, Steve and Leigh...

The first two images were taken on a D300...the last one was taken using my Nikon F70 film camera and scanned in Epson v700. The day cost me a small fortune as I finally splurged and bought the Epson scanner. I am still learning how to use it.

Now any film gurus/buffs know what happened here?:

looks like the film failed to advance.

Don't worry, it's one of the technical issues with film that was easy to do by accident, harder to do on purpose, but very easy to reproduce in photoshop.

Actually, it's almost always been easy to do deliberately on a Nikon. FM/FE and similar series have a switch that provides this facility, and the D200 and D300 have this ability as well.

And it's far more rewarding to do this in-camera than it is in PS.
