I like the first- the palm frame in the first (top left) works really well, although in the second its a little distracting.
Like james, i reckon if the first had more water in view it would be exactly to my taste. Were you at the max of your tripod- theres just a hint of a pool, although it also looks like there were a few boulders in the way??
