Had this image in my head for a long time and gave it a go at a caravan park in Umina (NSW Central Coast)

Unfortunately its not too sharp, Details 10-22 @ 10mm, 1/10th.

Does anyone know of any parks with roundabouts in southern Sydney?? I think I need to reshoot, possibly with flash.

Thanks
Robert PS he's now a few months older so wont need my big hand in the frame to hold him on!!

Very nice robert!

Recently had to do this for a shoot as well and peeking through the viewfinder and sitting in the middle while you go around isn't good for maintaining composure

What ISO were you shooting at?

You can still get away with 1/60th and adjust the aperture to suit. Something that you might want to consider as well is to have the camera sitting on a tripod and trigger it off camera to give it more pop.

youre right about it being difficult! holding him with one hand and trying to take the shot while spinning definately needs practice.

I shot it at ISO 100 and f22 (havent been past f11 in a long while!) in order to get the shutter speed down. Shooting faster would help but again he couldnt hold on too well so it wasnt turning at lightning speed and I thought I needed a slower shutter to blur the background.

Hi Robert,

Nice shot. I did a similar one (http://www.alexgitlits.com/Gallery/Aran ... C_1478.jpg) about a year ago with a WA lens, but I got away with 1/30s at f11. I think you'll probably find you won't neeed to shoot at f22, especially with WA lens as DoF is greater with those lenses.

Cheers
Alex
