Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Hi, I'm the new guyWhat better way to introduce myself than what i shoot?
I er...shoot stuff. been doing it for 7 months, great way to stop going insane from study. I'm a RAW shooter. I'd really like to know where i can improve, as i mostly work alone. Hello all!
Re: Hi, I'm the new guy
I tried that once... my kids are still in therapy.. *nods*.. and welcome to our little corner of the web new guy... I like your images btw.... the first holds my attention the most because of the eye contact that we have with the dancer.. The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...
Re: Hi, I'm the new guyI shoot raw because i don't shoot enough to warrant shooting jpeg. And generally i find with jpeg i have to do a lot more stuff such as shoot greycard exposures to get my colours right later. That and i'm too unskilled to get things right first time, hence no jpeg. A lot of these photos were ISO 800-1000 so pushing a RAW 2 stops and then applying NR would have been better than pushing a jpeg.
Re: Hi, I'm the new guy
Ummm... I was joking about the raw... I always shoot raw myself.. well except for when I use the Fuji S5pro cause I havent gotten around to loading the software for it into my new computer (cause the Fuji software really sux *sigh*)... The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...
