Explosions!Something a bit different from me, some explosions! All shot with D200 + 45P. The red colour is due to the presence of strontium ions. Enjoy!
This last one is a bit lacking technically, but I think conveys the power of these things well!
Re: Explosions! What are these? Rockets? firecrackers? bombs??
Last one looks like a space battle...
Re: Explosions!Combustible material in a bottle + extra goodies + opening = ASIO magnets! Don't try this at home kids!
Re: Explosions!you mean it's a police magnet?
Re: Explosions!Gotta get me some kyptonite for some green ions
Cool shots... was it more fun firing off rockets, taking photos of them, or taking photos as an excuse for firing off rockets? D3 | 18-200VR | 50:1.4 | 28:2.8 | 35-70 2.8 | 12-24 f4

Re: Explosions!Barium carbonate will give you green. Definitely more fun setting them off, photos were more of an afterthought.
Re: Explosions!I'm watching you Trent......
Indeed these are something different, I don't think I've seen explosion shots on here. Ever. Like the last one the best. 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc

Re: Explosions!*Insert disclaimer about skilled chemists in a controlled environment and an invocation not to try replicating this at home* Yeah I like the last one too. I think the blown highlights and the earth moving demonstrate the power of that one!
