Hello ForestG and welcome to the forum.
This is a beautiful capture.
On my monitor, it looks like the eyes may have been post processed (i.e sharpened) a little too much, especially Andrew's left eye...
Welcome to the forum as well. As per the FAQ (please read them) could you please put in a meaningful location in your profile.

Look forward to seeing more posts and images from you.

Cheers.

Great shot. The eyes are nice and crisp (I don't see too much PP). The DOF really suits, although almost a little too shallow.

I think this photo is all about the eyes, as such I think it could use a bit of a crop to just above the chin. Almost a square crop.

DOF is absolutely perfect. i love how it draws you in.
i'm with Geoff on this one though, i think there is too much treatment in the eyes. not sure if its the sharpening or the l/c that makes it look kinda wierd to my eyes. (excuse the pun).
