Very nice Spooky. Hope your holiday was as good as the pictures made them out to be! ;)

Nice Spooky,

You could do a lot more with this shot in PhotoShop. ( The Boat )

Go Black & White / Make it very moody or even

Spooky

Well done for your 1st post.

Cheers Mic

Here is a few from New Years Eve 2004 in Brissy. I hadn't taken fireworks before and was fairly happy that most of the shots came out. The beauty of the digial camera I find is you can take alot of photos and it gives you more chances of getting a good shot especially with hit or miss things like fast action shots.

There is something very ethereal about your first Whitsunday shot that I like very much :D

Nice pics, BUT, i think you should attempt some post processing as i reckon the pics need a bit of sharpening to help get a bit more detail of of them. :)

Hey Spook, I like the 2nd one, look as though it's from a travel brochure.

Thanks for the comments.

Yes, I definitely need to learn more about Photoshop, I have borrowed books on it but I have struggled to learn much. I find it difficult to do things I would think were simple like putting a border around a photo. To my mind in many ways it is not particularly user friendly and the help is like the usual help in most software.... easy to use if you all ready knew what you were doing.

I like your photos. Especially the fireworks and the second photo from Whitsunday.

Don't be affraid of Photoshop. Until a few months ago it was all a big mystry to me as well. Then I went in Google and asked questions on what I wanted to do. And eventually it all started to make sense - I need to learne more but it is starting to make sense - I am fixing old scanned photos up (using the clone tool). Curves are another great tool for enhancing your images. Once you understand what all the windows are for it starts to fall into place.

Have fun

Steve
