flashing with hay-bales...

I dug up some photos I took with my little bro (also on this forum - jdear_89) down at Jamberoo when some hay-bales were still out. i.e unwrapped and not stacked. We were taking some landscapes - but the sun didnt do much interesting when it set...
This is a photo of James in the distance shooting some bales - 2 stop HDR merge... Shot with my old Nikon 15:3.5 Ais lense (shows up as 50mm 1.8 in exif!) with adapter on 5D - I have no idea what the actual aperture was - I think it was around f11/f18 using the hyperfocal scale.
so I pulled out the flashes and had a bit of a play...
This was an 8 second exposure and I walked (read run) around James and popped off the flash at different places to paint him in (including the 'sun' between his hands)
some crazy air time...
and just a bit of flash on James for a portrait
and as usual a few more on my blog. Thanks for looking! I want to play around more with long exposures and flash painting - Id love to do a sort of paparazzi shot with a whole bunch of flashes going off in the background.
