So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

hey everyone its been ages since ive posted, been keeping an eye around the place but havent had much time to post lately because uni pretty much ownes my life at the moment.
here are a few of the many photos i have been taking recently, some for uni, some not. hope you like them and any C&C is much appreciated     this last one i took today using the environmental scanning electron microscope we have at uni. taken at a measly 100x magnification.  thanks for looking Nathan

Liking #1. Well exposed, nice colours, wide and the comp works for me.
#2. Framing is good, it gives the impression that the car is taking off into the distance. Focus seems a little off though, but looks like some tricky shooting conditions.. Perspective and clouds look tops in #3 and I think the b&w suits it well. Love #4. The detail is awesome and the treatment looks great! My 2c James. Nikon D70

there isn't actually any treatment done to the image. electron microscopes only produce grey scale images based on intensity. its interesting stuff, that image was produced by secondary electrons where the primary electrons have gone into the sample and then interacted with the atoms inside which in turn have emitted different electrons that the sensor picks up.
