Visit to FeatherdaleHere is a random sample of shots from a recent visit to Featherdale. As an aside I have to share my stupidity with you. I had failed to turn bracketing off from a previous shoot and couldn't for the life of me work out why the camera was stuffing up my exposures so badly. Some shots were way to bright and some way too dark. I spent the bulk of the visit tinkering with metering and exposure compensation until, just prior to leaving, it was suggested that maybe I had bracketing on All of these were shot through glass in low light so high ISO and no flash.
This one is a little soft and noisy, but I still quite like it for the warm glow. Peter

Re: Visit to Featherdale#3 has a quality about it. Kind of like a studio portrait....I believe next week they are coming back and bringing the kids!
Love it! PS... I think a maximeet at Featherdale will soon be on the cards. Regards

Re: Visit to FeatherdaleStubbsy - no.3 is the real standout here and Matt has very adequately described it, almost portrait like! I also like no. 1! Great to see some images from you, seems it's been a while.

Re: Visit to FeatherdaleI really like #3 Peter. The lighting is great and the subjects are sharp as. If you did a bit of cloning on the background, it could pass as a real life bush shot. BTW, it bought a grin to my face when I read about you leaving bracketing on and then playing with exposure all day until you realised what was going on. Someone else does that too, I thought, well I don't feel so bad now.
